Here are Gramp's final all-class boys' basketball ratings.  All 550 Missouri boys teams.  You won't find it anywhere else.  And they are pretty damn accurate too.  For over 1000 boys' and girls' playoff games, Gramps predicted the winner over 83% of the time, based on rating.  I also predicted eight of the twelve boys and girls state champions.

Can anyone beat Staley, besides a nationally ranked team?  There will be a big showdown at #4 Vashon on January 28th between the Wolverines and Staley, so we may find out how good both of them are. 

Kickapoo has kicked it up a couple of notches and is Gramps' second-ranked team in Missouri.  They play Nixa on the 24th, Jeff City on the 27th, and Springfield Central on the 31st.

Oak Park is rattling sabers as Gramps' third-ranked team and play hot and cold Lafayette St. Louis on January 21st.

Cape Central entertains Jackson on January 20th and that will either solidify Cape's claim to a top rank or bring their fans back down to earth.

Here are all 550 Missouri boys' teams in one poll.  You won't find this anywhere else in the state.  Maybe not in any state.

Updated March 28, 2023 It must be another full moon tonight or at least all the planets will be aligned in a rare concentration of planets under the moon at sunset in the west.  You should go outside and take a look.  It might not happen again in your lifetime. I have finished all the boys' and girls' Missouri basketball ratings for every school in every class in the state.  That includes about 550 boys and 530 girls schools.  Does anybody else do that?  Would anyone else ever attempt rating all those teams? So this is a wrap.  I may add some additional statistics about playoff predictions or most improved teams but this is it, folks.  I hit about 83% of all games based on my ratings and eight of the twelve class winners were my #1 rated team in early February.  Not bad for this old coot.  Gramp's Missouri Boys Class Five Final Basketball Ratings - Update March 26, 2023 No one can argue that Cardinal Ritter is #1 again this year.  But who should be #2?  Well, the MBCA poll takes the final four and places them above everyone else, no matter how good they were or what their record might have been.  Was Ladue good this year?  Oh, yeah, baby.  But Cape Girardeau Central was 27-3 and lost to Chicago Simeon, who was comparable to Vashon, CBC, and then was upset by Sikeston in the district final after beating them by 27 during the season.  So Cape Central deserves better than seventh in the MBCA poll.  I guess you could call Cape Central and Ladue tied for #2. Westminster Academy sneaks in at #4 ahead of third-place Jeff City and De Smet sneaks in ahead of Pembroke Hill who finished fourth at state.  Sikeston, who upset Cape Central, comes in at #8.  Borgia, who was undefeated at one point in the season, ends up #9 and Bolivar t...

Gramp's Class One Boys and Girls Basketball Ratings by district

 It's that time of year.  Missouri class one districts start tonight and everyone is looking to go deep into the tournament.  Well, maybe not everyone.  Some would like to play another game.  Some teams just want to finish with a good game, even if it is the end of the season.  All that work!  Time to get it done. Gramp's is putting the boy's and girl's rating together here.  Take a good look.  The team rank in all of class one is followed by the school name, district and Gramp's rating. Updated 2/21/2023 - Richland Essex and Osborn/Stewartville were incorrectly put in district one boys.  Tina Avalon and Norborne were misplaced in the girls.
