Here are the updated All Missouri Girls basketball ratings for EVERY CLASS.  Everyone else puts out a top 10 or top 20.  Gramps?  He checks them all with statistical accuracy.  

Ain't nobody going to touch Incarnate Word again this year but a few might try.  Check out my Alphabetical listing if you are having trouble finding your team in these 530 teams.

Here are Gramp's All Missouri Girls combined ratings with all 527 MSHSAA teams, as of 1/06/2023.  It is still early,  but there is no equivocation about Incarnate Word being #1 in the girls' ratings.  Truman seems to be a solid #2.

Some team, like Vashon, have played most of their games outside Missouri and it is hard to pin down how good they might be but, from what I can calculate, they appear to be a top 20, if not a top 10 team.  I will get a better read on the Lady Wolverines once they start playing more Missouri opponents.

I have updated all classes, one through six.  I was not so sure about Delta being the #3 team in the state in my first rating.  They are a very good class one team and they were runner-up last year.  Their schedule did not show holiday results but I found they lost to Jackson on 12/19 by nine, which suggests a much lower rating than 154.  They play New Madrid Central and Cape Notre Dame in the coming weeks, so we shall see where they belong by Mid-January.  Right now, I have placed them below Jackson and at par with South Iron.

 Gramp's Missouri Boys Class Five Final Basketball Ratings - Update March 26, 2023 No one can argue that Cardinal Ritter is #1 again this year.  But who should be #2?  Well, the MBCA poll takes the final four and places them above everyone else, no matter how good they were or what their record might have been.  Was Ladue good this year?  Oh, yeah, baby.  But Cape Girardeau Central was 27-3 and lost to Chicago Simeon, who was comparable to Vashon, CBC, and then was upset by Sikeston in the district final after beating them by 27 during the season.  So Cape Central deserves better than seventh in the MBCA poll.  I guess you could call Cape Central and Ladue tied for #2. Give some girls teams some credit!

  I don't want anyone to think I am disrespecting the MBCA coach's poll for girls' basketball when I share my analysis.  I just want to make sure the teams that deserve votes actually are recognized.  Some teams seem to run under the radar all season long with the coaches poll and I do not know why? So here's my analysis of the latest MBCA poll with my rating and ranking of teams in their polls.  For the most part, they know who the top two or three teams in the class are, but then it gets fuzzy with some teams I might rank in the top 20 or 30 are in the top ten and a lot of teams that are in my top ten based upon game statistics, don't even show up as receiving votes. And there's no disrespect meant for those hard-working kids that are in the MBCA poll but not in my top ten.  If you like the MBCA poll better then ignore Gramps.  If you are a die-hard statistics type, take another look.
